Caprese Salad- My version

Greetings everyone,

How are you doing?

Today I present to you my delicious recipe of Caprese salad. No it’s not the traditional way of making Caprese salad, instead I edited some details. Here’s why! I had frozen my mozzarella cheese and there was no opinion to get fresh mozzarella cheese at my place. It’s costly to throw away remaining cheese. There we go, we baked it.

So, to make Caprese salad with frozen mozzarella cheese, means I have to edit the receipt of Caprese salad. So I did it. I baked it.

Let’s call it then “Baked Caprese Salad”. Here’s how it looks.

Here is short recipe for one for delicious Baked Caprese salad. Increase in same proportions.

It’s something in between Caprese Crostini and Caprese salad.

Step 1. Take 2 tomatoes and cut them. Take your cheese and cut it in small squares. I had frozen cheese, so I cut it with extra pressure. I don’t want to waste the cheese in my freezer. It’s a good practice.

Step 2. Arrange tomatoes and cheese alternately on baking tray. Sprinkle salt and black pepper on it now.

Step 3. Now add pesto sauce on the tomato and cheese. Sprinkle olive oil on top of it.

Step 4. Bake it at 200 degrees C for 10 minutes. Cheese melts and virgin olive oil absorbed in tomatoes and pesto sauce drizzle. What a taste.

Step 5. Transfer it to serving plate.

Enjoy the salad. It’s tempting, melts in mouth, the tomatoes are juicy in flavour of olive oil.
