Cottage Cheese – Green Peas Rice ( Paneer Mattar Pulav)

Today I present you my recipe of pulav. This is not the traditional version of pulav which typically have vegies and not cottage cheese.

It’s simple to make.

It’s quick.

No extra preparations.

Hot and delicious to have.

So here is recipe for one, increase in same ratio for recipe for more.

Step 1. Take one third cup dry rice. Wash it well in clean water.

Step 2. Take half spoon of clarified butter. Add it to your preheated pressure cooker.

Step 3. Once clarified butter is heated add one third spoon cumin seeds to it.

Step 4. Mix well. Don’t let it over heat.

Step 5. Add 2 handfuls green peas in cooker.

Step 6. Quickly add washed rice in the cooker. Mix well. Add one teaspoon of salt, some black pepper and some Spanish paprika to taste.

Step 7. Close the cooker. Give two whistles and donot open the cooker. Let the pressure of cooker reduce on its own.

Step 8. Till then take two slices of of cottage cheese 1 centimetre wide on chopping board.

Step 9. Cut small blocks of cottage cheese.

Step 10. Sprinkle salt and Spanish paprika in cottage cheese.

Step 11. In a while when pressure of cooker is ended. Open the cooker. Look at the lovely delight.

Step 12. Add cut cottage cheese in cooker now.

Mix well.

It’s ready to serve now.

Have it steaming hot.
