Vegetable Rice

Today it’s lunch meal, which is nice fresh vegetable rice. It’s best had hot.

Have a look, it looks as good as it tastes.

Here are quick step for a meal for three. We are using vegetables, green peas, onion and green beans.

Step 1. Take one onion and handful of green beans.

Step 2. Cut both finely.

Step 3. Take 3/4 th cup of rice.

Step 4. Wash rice till water is clear.

Step 5. Add rice in pan for boiling add green beans, two handful of green peas and cut onion. Add water to level to cover the vegetables and rice.

Step 6. Now add some salt to taste, 1 tsp black pepper, half tsp Spanish paprika, two bay leaves in the pan.

Step 7. Cover the lid of boiling pan 3/4 th and let it heat on low heat.

Step 8. Keep opening the pan to see if rice has become soft, if not add more water till rice and vegetables are cooked. It took me 20 minutes, your rice type may need more or lesser time.

Step 9. It’s cooked. It took me 20 minutes on low heat. Time to sieve extra water, or you can dry the water in pan only.

Step 10. Time to serve.
