Split Chickpeas Toast. Yum.

I present to you yum toast full of proteins, yes with lentils.

These split chickpeas are not that expensive, one can try them often it’s called Chana dal in India at times it comes under lentils, and costs around two usd a kg here.

Here is simple quick receipe for one.

Ingredients: One onion, two breads, one fourth cup of split chickpeas, one medium sized potato, butter to grece the toast, red chilli, salt. That’s it.

Step 1. Take one fourth of bowl filled with split chickpeas.

Step 2. Boil and mash one potato.

Step 3. Finely cut one onion.

Step 4. Boil the split chickpeas after washing them in water.

Step 5. Add boiled mashed potato, boiled chickpeas and fresh cut onion in a mixing bowl.

Step 6. Add red chilli and salt to taste.

Step 7. Mix well ingredients of bowl as above.

Step 8. Take 2 breads.

Step 9. Take scoops of the mashed ingredients and apply it on one bread with spoon and hands.

Step 10. Cover other bread on top of the stuffed bread.

Step 11. Apply butter on toaster and toast the bread in it.

Step 12. Cut vertically the toast. It’s ready to serve.
